Water pressure sensors work by measuring the force (pressure) on a diaphragm that sits below the surface of the water. First, the pump Pressure Sensor measures pressure by converting it into an electrical signal. It then records this voltage for later analysis. We put the diaphragm under water. Next, we measure how it deforms under static or dynamic pressure. When the diaphragm is at rest, it guides the force (pressure) parallel to its surface. We measure water pressure by placing the poles of a simple divider on the surface of the water. The lower rod will be underwater and connected to the upper rod by wire. If static pressure is present, the voltage will be constant. Ideally, there is no dynamic pressure because the force does not affect the diaphragm. When we apply water pressure to the diaphragm, it changes the surface tension, which causes a change in the force acting on the diaphragm. The lower pole of the divider amplifies this effect and changes its value from 1 volt to 2 volts, and so on. We use circuits to convert signals into electrical signals, which are recorded for the long-term memory unit to analyze later.
