Water pressure sensors can be divided into the following five categories: absolute pressure sensors. This Pressure Sensor measures the true pressure of the fluid, that is, the pressure relative to the vacuum pressure. The absolute pressure against sea level is 101.325 kpa (14.7PSI). Pressure gauge Pressure sensor. This pump Pressure Transmitter measures pressure relative to atmospheric pressure at a specific location. One example is the tire gauge. A tire gauge reading of 0PSI indicates that the pressure in the tire is equal to 14.7PSI of atmospheric pressure. Vacuum pressure sensor. This pump pressure sensor is used to measure pressure of less than one atmosphere. Some vacuum pressure sensors read relative to one atmosphere (negative reading), while Others read relative to absolute pressure. Differential pressure sensor. Pump pressure sensors are used to measure the pressure difference between two pressures, such as the difference between the ends of an oil filter. Differential pressure gauges are also used to measure the flow or level height in pressure vessels. Seal pressure sensor. Pump pressure sensor instruments are similar to pressure gauge pressure sensors, except that it is specifically calibrated to measure pressure relative to sea level, and there are strain type pressure sensors.
