Pressure and temperature dual purpose sensors

The oil pressure indicator blinks repeatedly: sometimes the Oil Pressure Sensor does not work properly, and the low oil pressure indicator on the instrument panel blinks. This can cause drivers to panic because they will think their fuel level is low and, if true, will end up damaging the engine. To determine if this is a real warning, you should manually check your oil level to see if it is low. If not, then it is likely that you have a malfunctioning oil Pressure Transmitter and you need to replace it immediately. The oil gauge shows an incorrect reading. If you drive an older car, it probably has a mechanical meter that calculates oil pressure. Whenever the oil level is normal but the meter reads zero, this means that the oil Pressure Sensor needs to be replaced because it is faulty or has some type of connection problem. In modern cars, whenever the oil pressure transmitter does not work properly, it will cause the meter to read strangely or at full or zero pressure. Check cable connections to the sensor and replace the cables as required. Don't assume your engine oil level is low without actually checking the dipstick. Otherwise your engine could have too much oil, which could mean a whole different problem, including too much oil pressure.
