That said, here are the basic steps to replace the oil Pressure Transmitter: Wear safety glasses. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Jack up the vehicle safely. Inserting the jack means increased safety. Set the parking brake of the vehicle. Insert the wheel pad properly behind the rear wheel. Disconnect the electrical connector of the oil pressure sensor. Release the sensor using a suitable ratchet and socket. Remove the oil pressure sensor. Apply sealant to the new oil pressure sensor thread if it is not pre-applied. Install a new oil pressure sensor. Use a torque wrench to tighten to manufacturer's specifications. Reconnect the electrical connector of the sensor. Remove jack support safely. Jack down the vehicle. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
