Product description
The CNG/LPG High Pressure Sensor measures fuel pressure in the high pressure oil rail of a gasoline direct injection (GDI) engine. The engine control unit needs this information to accurately measure the quality of the injected fuel. The Natural gas (CNG) sensor version measures the pressure in the tank. In addition, the sensor is used for off-highway applications, in which case it is used to monitor the pressure of the hydraulic module. The pressure is measured using a steel diaphragm whose deflection is assessed by a resistance bridge. The bridge's output voltage is amplified in the evaluation circuit and transmitted to the control unit. Optionally, NTC resistors can be integrated into high pressure sensors to measure fuel temperature. The dual version features two measuring resistance Bridges and two separate digital circuits that generate and transmit an absolutely redundant output signal. They can be used in a variety of applications due to a wide variety of connectors and threaded components.
